Editor & Business Developer@Nihon Shoko Shinko-kai

Nihon Shoko Shinko-kai was a one of the major publishers of business periodicals for small business executives. It hired me to develop the new business utilizing its business asset that is the high loyalty of the reader executives. Since a year before the entry, the chief editor provided me with opportunity of a quick career start by giving a distance learning course using the monthly magazine as textbook.

I spent the first year as an editor to study the model and values of the typical readers. I transferred to a one-man section newly settled, where I developed new business including the followings:

1 Seminars to the executive readers
2 Seminars to the employees and managers of the readers’ companies
3 Original training curriculum designing service
4 Action learning sessions to enlighten the executives of next generation
5 Manager-procurement service

Both planning and selling the services were completed by myself alone. After two years of endeavor, the sales of the new business grew up to contribute 35% of the total company sales and 45% of the gross margin.

Through the years at Nihon Shoko Shinko-kai, I could interview a few hundreds of proprietors and small company executives, which was the most valuable experience in my career that resulted in establishment of MSI-Group later.
